Fàilte!

Welcome to the bothy, fellow traveller.

Do you see that white van in the header? I used to live in that van. It didn’t run; it had no electricity, running water or toilet, and I ended up living in it for eight of the best months of my life. By the end of it, I was living on the equivalent of £10 a month for EVERYTHING. Food, water, cinema tickets, you name it.

And you can read all about it in the book; the first in a series which is due to be published in 2019. These books feature tales of avant-grade travel, whimsy, poetry, recipes, bare-bones off-grid lifestyle in the Australian rainforest on £10 a month, sparking and planning social revolution, hitchhiking in a kilt, orgies in the middle of nowhere, tribal gatherings, nasi lemak, CalMac ferries, the Himalayas, daal bhaat, lust, rural development and, for some unknown reason, genuine love.
All held together by a significant number of references to Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band.

I’m still making music, I’m making art, I’ve started hosting a travel podcast… the only thing I’m not making a lot of is money, but that’s all right.

Because ultimately, I love everything.
